  • I'm a let down

So, usually my mum pays half my internet bill (because i am on a really tight budget) and I have her the other half, well, in 2 weeks I've managed to only give her half of what I'm meant to, namely because this week it's Electricity week (where I put money on my electric meter) so, instead, I'm gonna go into town and sell a couple of my 360 games so that I do have the money, as I really do feel that if you owe someone you should pay them back.

Hopefully my lack of 2 photo ID's will be negated by my council tax bill, my internet bill and my bank card, as that's all I've got.

Nope wasn't enough, which leaves me annoyed, more at the fact that it was a wasted trip that netted me nothing to pay my mum back with more than anything.

Why do you need so much ID to sell video games?

I know mine always does. Moms are often just that way. And the fact that she's paying part of your internet bill says something about her too.

RayvenQ, I very much doubt that your mother is as upset as you think she might be. Life's just gonna have times when money's short. It's okay, you're human.

You're doing your best, I've had times where I couldn't help out with the house bills and such because I was too broke to do so. *gives Rayven drink of choice*

Yeah I know but it's the fact that it's left her a bit short too, that and i said I'd pay it back to her this week, but didnt't let her know I couldn't until today.

Yeah my mum is kind, and I know I could ask for money from her whenever I want, but it's just the way I am that I rarely ever do, infact I kinda loathe to ask her for anything, even when I need the help, I'm just like that.

I guess living in a flat on my own, unemployed and only getting by through state benefits makes it harder than if I were living with her.

I know she's not let down, but I am, it's kidna one of my things, if i borrow something from someone, I give it back as soon as i cana nd when i say, so it just makes me annoyed at myself when I can't

And when you're all caught up (as you will be someday) you can look her in the eye and say "Thanks Mum. You know I won't forget this when it comes time to put you in a home."

(er. Make sure she knows that's a joke....)

My mom does the same, and I often feel the same way. I just borrowed money last week. (I get to pay it back next week.) I hate leaving her short of the money she needs.

But you'll get it sorted out, you'll pay her back, and it will be okay.

I don't think I'd feel so bad if she didn't actually need it this week.

                      Mine needs it too.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I get where you're coming from because I'm in the same spot. What I've said to you is the sort of thing I'm telling myself.

It's no fun feeling that way, and it's... ...

I don't know. Being an adult is just a pain sometimes.
