    New Job HO!

    I just, less than an hour ago, was offered the position of Editorial Assistant at the place where I've been doing temp work as a Marketing Assistant, while the normal guy was on leave. I'm technically on a yearly renewing contract. But everyone here is, with the exception of the Director and Accquisitions Editor. It's a substantial raise in pay (about $5.00/hr. more than I was making), and I'm guaranteed until the end of January, which is when contract renewal comes up.

    I'm really excited, since this is exactly the type of job I wanted when I finished my college program

                hooray, i'm in the industry as well so congrats! i know how spiffy that kinda title feels, especially going to school for it (at least to me).
