I've never had a dream like this before, it was weird and the fact that it's still so vivid in my mind over 2 hours after I woke up is even weirder.
It began, I was younger, maybe teenage years. I was living in a society that claims religious tolerance but you must be a member of one of the "approved" or "main" religions (Christian, Jewish, etc.. (I don't remember Muslim being as part of it)). Being a Pagan, I was an outcast.
I had just seen someone I knew get executed for being a Pagan and he refused to renounce his religion (very much like during the creation of the Holy Roman Empire). People knew I was a Pagan and I had a crowd (all with guns ready to execute me - the crowd was maybe one person thick) outside my house. It was my day to make the decision - either renounce or be executed.
So, before making my decision I took a walk around my house and made eye contact with every person, I wanted them to know who they were going after.
I came up to the judge / prosecutor / jury person and made my decision. I decided to do something that, as far as I know, hadn't been done before - I was going to lie. I was going to say I renounce my ways but not in reality. I was going to still go to my rituals and believe in the Pagan ways but go to church / temple (or whatever) but keep the silent prayers my way.
Fast forward years down the road, I'm older (mid 30s?) and a very well respected member of the community but still keeping to my lie - I had even formed a small group of like-minded people. We did our rituals like we should be also went to the masses every day they were required.
Unfortunately, at that time Gallon decided he wanted to join my wife and I and jumped up on the bed and woke me up so the dream stopped them.
I know dreams can be an important part of our lives and shouldn't be taken literally. Also, as I noted, I've never had a dream like this one nor have I had one this vivid.
Any hints as to what it might mean?
