We lost our other cat today, the handsome fellow you see in my avatar. Trouble was 17, and his health went very suddenly downhill two days ago; dehydration, constant drooling, bad teeth and weight loss. He wasn't getting better, the prognosis wasn't good and it was his time.
He was the first cat we took in, when a neighbor who was moving out dumped him on our doorstep (their loss). He was very handsome, with a long silver tabby coat and very large gold eyes; he looked a lot like a Maine Coon Cat only much smaller (he may have been a mix). Had a pleasant cooing trill for a voice, liked to use his front paws like hands to pick up things, and was very playful, loving and affectionate towards all of us and everyone he met.
This picture was taken two years ago, when we first moved here. Yes, he also liked playing with his peoples' toy trains.
