Currently Nameless (My computer; used to be "Legion" but is getting renamed when it's fixed again)
Yes, I rename any of my machines whenever I do an upgrade or other major alteration. -.-

The laptops are safe, but my desktop must have psychological issues by now.

Well on my network I forgot about the Wii, PS2, Roku Player.

As far as naming computers. I name only a few things, and usually it's not personal, just part of what they are. For instance the MAC is named The Hybrid, because it runs everything, and has been set up to control everything. I can run any operating system, and operate anything from this computer. Including the store computers. The NAS server is just called NAS, and my daughter computer is just Ashley's Computer.

I used to have one called The Beast. It was a monsterous computer at the time. All top of the line and had everything a person could want, but then it got old.

One of my other computers...is named "Snow." The white kitty usually slept on the keyboard if I wasn't using it. Either that, or she'd sleep next to it. Then there's my laser printer...an HP 4100 Laserjet, that came from work. Since it's a bit old and slow, it's referred to as "POS 1." That is, "Piece of Shit 1." Couldn't get away with that at the office--had to call it "Position 1" instead

Nearly all of my equipment was rebuilt with parts I've scavenged over the years. Well, except for the Gateway I once had--that got scrapped, and bashed to bits with the 40-pound fence maul

i have 2 identical Dell Inspirons. Intel Core2 2.4Ghz with 2GB of ram and 500GB HDD running Windows Vista. The main PC has 2 24" screens. 1 is the main one adn the other is for when i am programming so i can view source and output simultaeneously.

Also have 2 other 1 TB HDD in USB caddies which are eventually going to be put in a home server type machine.

I've then got the second one which is stage one of my overall plan. This is equipped with a bar code scanner from work and an old touch screen attached. It has internet for running LibraryThing which i am currently putting all my books into. Then a quick adn dirty DVD database I have knocked up for cataloguing them and finally a shopping programme I am writing. The end result will mean that i just zap any product bar codes when i use them and select YES/NO for reorder so at the end of the week i have a list which can be uploaded straight into the online supermarket page for ordering my groceries. As products are added to my system it stores details in a local database to cut down on web queries and also lets me add various sources so i can generate lists for the butchers/greengrocers etc at the touch of a button.

That PC also links wirelessly to my digital photo frame to control the pictures it displays. As I am doing up the house i am gradually upgrading the fittings to X-10 home automation ones so eventually the master plan is for the PC to control lights, music, pictures and so on.

All of these computers are networked using RS14 as the router, a U.S. Robotics USB 56K modem for internet access, and a D-Link WBR-2310 Wireless-G router with DHCP turned off to serve that 56K connection to the other computers. 56K is all i can get for now, but its good enough to keep all the computers updated. Only high-speed option is wireless, but that's $35/month for 512K down.

I have a Compaq Athlon 64 Socket AM2-based computer that has a bad motherboard. When I can get the cash, I'll be replacing RS12 with it.

                Mac:
                500G hdd, 2G memory, 1.83Ghz speed.

                PC:
I think it's 80G, but don't remember, XP though. I barely use it unless I have to.

                Externals:
1TB (plus another tb, but my bf has it in his apartment packout), another external (250 or 300 I think), plus a few flash drives.

Meh my family right now has one Desktop server running on Windows Server 2003 (though it's just used as a regular desktop. And then each person in the family (Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister, and me) all have our own laptops. Mine's the oldest, it's an Acer Aspire 3690 that I bought in 2006 just after Vista came out. So it kinda sucks. I recently upgraded the RAM to 2GB but it only has 60GB HDD. I need a new one, this one's getting slow. I've been saving money, but not there yet. I need a powerful computer because I love to play SPORE when I'm not online. That and I run like 4 different IM programs at the same time I'm surfing the webs.

Okay... Time for me to post my own... Hope I don't forget anything.

                    Cable modem/router
                    ITX based firewall running Untangle
My main server (dual proc and dual core opteron, 64 bit)
My mythtv backend (my homebrew DVR setup, fairly old in computer terms, only running 32 bit)
My mythtv front (attached to the tv downstairs, 64 bit, dual core amd)
My workstation in the office (quad core amd, 4G)
Sometimes I use my g3 imac (mainly for packaging and testing my software for OSX 10.4)
                    My EEE 901 laptop
                    Jess has her laptop
Another desktop attached to TV, Jess's main workstation
The T-mobile G1 sometimes uses it
                    Wii
                    Two wireless access points
                    3 gigabit wired switches
My palmOne Tungsten T5 used to use it (with a wireless card add in)
I've got another computer that I use to wipe hard drives, and it boots from the network

I *think* that's everything on my home network. I'll probably add to this list when I find out I forgot something.
