SQUEEEEE! Wedding date's been set!

Well, Sir and I have set our wedding date! Well, tentatively at least.. Still have to request the time off, but I can't do that until next month, or the month after (we have to wait til 6 months in advance). So the date is set for January 23, 2010, in Louisville, KY. Of course, anyone who wants to come is welcome I'll need to know probably by November who all plans to come, for planning purposes. Oh... and just to add to the excitement, check out the dress I'm going to be wearing

Congrats! I might make the 1.5 hour trip down there for the wedding, especially since my company is across the river in Jeffersonville...so I might be able to find some 'training' and get paid for it.

Hehe I'll be getting paid for it, as come November 5th, i'll have 40+ hours of vacation time

Well we said screw the cruise. We are going to honeymoon for a week in Key West. I'm budgeting for it. I don't care what I have to do, be it work every single holiday or what, I am getting my Key West honeymoon in JANUARY.

Actually, he's helping me with some of the plans for the honeymoon, and will, hopefully, be attending the wedding as well

ETA: He's part of the reason we chose Key West, as it will give us a chance to meet him, check out his bar, and have an excellent tour guide

Cool. I always wonder if I ran across him while I was down there in 2001. I know he was there then, but I wasn't here to know to look for him. I might have seen him doing magic at sunset, for all I know. I also may have been at a certain clothing optional rooftop bar that may or may not be one that he has mentioned in the past. (For the record, I opted for clothes, and we were actually only there for about 10 minutes just to check it out.)

I'm so excited. I really am. I am just keeping that image in my head (a week on the beaches of Key West with my new hubby in January!), and I don't care how many holidays I have to volunteer to work (I'll get my base 8 hours of holiday pay + time and a half for any hours I work), or how much I have to sell, I'm getting my Key West honeymoon at The Reach Resort. And plus, I'm budgeting my bills for only my base $12/hr, not including my shift differential, not including any raises I may get between then and now, not including any commission, and not including any holiday pay. So anything over that $12/hr 40 hours a week is extra.

It's a lovely dress! And in the summer you can make the 1/2 hour drive to Eminence, KY for their RenFaire and wear it there.
