Oh, yes. Yes, I have been there. And it so sucks. 
After trying for...hell, I don't know...I know it was WELL over a year, I just rolled over in bed and said, "Okay, you ready to get the perfunctory fuck over with?"
Seriously, not only was "trying" not working, but it was ruining our sex life as well. Gaaah. At that point, after we both had a good laugh (sometimes, it's okay to laugh in bed.
) we just quit worrying about and went back to just being lovers instead of people trying to keep a schedule.
I did end up getting pregnant, by happy accident, much much later.
However, I will give anyone trying to get pregnant this advice: get yourself checked for fibroids. I had one, hiding that could only be found by an ultrasound. They took it out and 10 months later I got pregnant. They don't do ultrasounds on young women, and it was asymptomatic at the time. It was working just like a IUD. So if you are having problems, get yourself checked out. I wish I'd found it sooner, I would have more kids.
