  • The G1 ROCKS!

So, I'm in G1 heaven. This phone is God. Really. There's a few things it can't do (connect to the uni's wireless, for one.), but the things it can do totally make up for it.

I'm in love... with a phone!

Welcome to the right side of mobile comms!

A full qwerty keyboard makes things so much easier!

The only thing I want to do, but haven't figured if I can is to link it to google calendar...
A PSA, if I may, as well as another.

The G1 is amazing. I'm hoping to get the 1.5 firmware soon. I only know that I'll get it sometime this month.

As for the Google Calendar, it just sync'ed straight away for me. Didn't have to do anything but start using it.

          Totally awesome phone

I Love my G1, it was more than worth the price.

With all the apps available for it, you can do almost anything.

I use one called Hungry for keeping my shipping list on. One click and the item goes away from my screen so the list shrinks as I put stuff in my card.

I also have a couple of games, a couple of dice rollers (including gaming dice), a couple of games an app to track my gas mileage, a mortgage calculator, an app to track my blood sugars (that I just need to use...), a level and a horizon thingy.

The ONLY thing I don't like about it is the fact that the screen darkens too fast when I'm on the phone, but doesn't actually lock. Every time I call some place that requires me to press numbers, I'm always having to un-darken the screen, but when I make a call to talk to someone and slip the phone in my belt pouch, I'll end up pressing the volume key, or something that causes it to beep in my bluetooth.

Well, I've linked to my calendar (or rather my calendar to it), and inputted all my shifts for the rest of the year... Seeing as it's not a regular shift pattern it was really rather laborious!

-whimper- I'm so jealous! I want a G1 soooo bad.... Maybe I'll get one for my birthday, instead of upgrading my phone this weekend, just upgrade for my birthday in July. What do you guys think? I've wanted that phone since it came out!

As a new G1 owner, I strongly suggest that everyone in the world gets one of these phones.
