  • NCIS Season 6 Finale (SPOILERS!!!)

    Oh. My. GAWD!!!!!

That was so awesome. These past few episodes have just been so good. They're really stretching the characters and relationships and....ack! Wonderful.

Can I just say that it took me several minutes to realize evil Mossad man was the Mummy? That cracked me up.

Alrighty...so what's left to be built of the boat? Is it done? Because I love the "working on the boat in the basement" scenes. They're my favorites, and it's a nice throughline they've kept through the entire series, from "Yankee White". (I don't know about the JAG episodes, never seen them.) I do wonder, Bellisario once said that the boat will be finished when the series is finished. hmmm.

Now, about the ending, I'm actually really excite. Shane Brennan recently said in an interview that nobody was leaving the show. After the bru-ha-ha after the season 5 finale, I can understand him making that statement. So, she will be back people!

Secondly, can we finally call "Tiva" dead? Please? Pretty pretty please with a Caf-Pow on top? It's clear that Tony and Ziva will never be able to trust each other again. If they are, it will be a long time in coming. (Hell, she may have lost Gibb's trust, and that's going some.) It just annoys the hell out of me. I don't want unnecessary romance in my crime drama. If you want to watch characters get all sloppy and goopy on each other, try Grey's Anatomy. Romance with a side character can work - I would just love it if Col. Mann would return. But, and here's the other thing, I trust the writers. NCIS has some of the best writing out there, bar none. The writing is what separates it from all of the CSIs. I'd rather be taken for the ride, see what Brennan & Co. come up with, than try to plot it out on my own.

The other thing I loved about tonight is that it really showcased how these writers bring back events of past episodes. I knew that the whole Ari thing was going to come back, just wasn't sure how. I mean, Ducky even brought up Kate.

So, plenty to contemplate until September when they come back with new episodes. This, I think, is the best season yet!

Woohoo, no more deaths! I was really sad when Jenny left, I don't want anybody else leaving...

In Australia, we're up to "Legends" which introduces the new characters for the spin-off. I just recently bought Season 5 boxset...I my NCIS boxsets.

And in regards to Tiva, please, please, please STOP DRAWING IT OUT!!!!! Season 3, 4...fine. Season 5 hmmm....ok. Season 6....

I'm nearly positive it's at least his second boat of the series. I recall him starting a new one at some point, season 4 maybe?

Not sure the exact episode but this was the second boat. He will just have to start a new one is all.

No, in season 4 he started the top part of the same boat, "Kelly". It's all been the same boat.

In one of the episodes where he was retired, it was mentioned he worked on 4 boats.

And burned them, because he named them after ex-wives (I thought it was 3 boats for the 3 exes - not counting Shannon, of course). But I doubt he'll burn "Kelly".

Was it in the finale or was I watching a rerun on USA (I get so mixed up sometimes cuz I watch it almost every day, and I never know what season I'm watching, since USA shows 3 episodes in a row, and they're not all from the same season), where he was sweeping up the basement, and Ducky comes down the stairs and makes a comment about "how did you get the boat out of the basement?" That would be second time I've seen that question asked. I think it was the Army girlfriend that asks the first time.

The only real romantic sideline (involving main characters) I like is McGee and Abby, but that was never a major plot point. They're so different, but so much alike, that I like them together, even though they've mostly only hinted that they dated at some point.

I agree with the statement That McGee and Abby is a very watchable romantic subplot. however, I don't think Tiva is quite dead and buried yet.

Yes, Lt. Col. Mann asked him how he got the boat out (the big hunk of boat he worked on during seasons 1-4) right before they, um, interfered. And Ducky referred to it during last night's finale.

McGee and Abby are so cute as friends, and they work so well together. I love where things are with them right now. I thought it was so cute during last week's episode, when he was talking about the ICE agent being out of his league and she said, "No, she isn't". Adorable.

Plus, I <3 McGee. I said in another thread, I'd take McGeek over DiNozzo any day of the week.
