Oh. My. GAWD!!!!!
That was so awesome. These past few episodes have just been so good. They're really stretching the characters and relationships and....ack! Wonderful.
Can I just say that it took me several minutes to realize evil Mossad man was the Mummy?
That cracked me up.
Alrighty...so what's left to be built of the boat? Is it done? Because I love the "working on the boat in the basement" scenes. They're my favorites, and it's a nice throughline they've kept through the entire series, from "Yankee White". (I don't know about the JAG episodes, never seen them.) I do wonder, Bellisario once said that the boat will be finished when the series is finished. hmmm.
Now, about the ending, I'm actually really excite. Shane Brennan recently said in an interview that nobody was leaving the show. After the bru-ha-ha after the season 5 finale, I can understand him making that statement. So, she will be back people!
Secondly, can we finally call "Tiva" dead? Please? Pretty pretty please with a Caf-Pow on top? It's clear that Tony and Ziva will never be able to trust each other again. If they are, it will be a long time in coming. (Hell, she may have lost Gibb's trust, and that's going some.) It just annoys the hell out of me. I don't want unnecessary romance in my crime drama. If you want to watch characters get all sloppy and goopy on each other, try Grey's Anatomy. Romance with a side character can work - I would just love it if Col. Mann would return. But, and here's the other thing, I trust the writers. NCIS has some of the best writing out there, bar none. The writing is what separates it from all of the CSIs. I'd rather be taken for the ride, see what Brennan & Co. come up with, than try to plot it out on my own.
The other thing I loved about tonight is that it really showcased how these writers bring back events of past episodes. I knew that the whole Ari thing was going to come back, just wasn't sure how. I mean, Ducky even brought up Kate.
So, plenty to contemplate until September when they come back with new episodes. This, I think, is the best season yet!
