..well, sorta..
My cousin's daughter is graduating from college in New Hampshire this weekend, so my parents are dog-sitting for their two Wheaten terriers while my cousin and her family are up there. Teddy is about two years old, I think, while Jake is older and mostly deaf. They've got them fenced in the kitchen, with a swinging gate in one doorway, and a tension gate in the other. The tension gate is set about six inches above the floor, so it's high enough they can't jump over but not so high they can get under it...
...but Teddy is trying...Why? Because Stripes is in the living room watching them. When I first got here he was sitting on the far arm of the couch, about as far as he could be from the door and still be able to see in, just watching them. Eventually he will venture into the kitchen just like last time, I'm sure (they had Teddy here once before).
Poor Stars, on the other hand, is terrified and is hiding under my dad's bed. I couldn't even coax her out with lint roller. She crept towards me a little bit but wouldn't come out. She'll be in there until Monday when they go home.
Right now they're both sprawled on the floor in the kitchen, each less than a foot away from a dog bed. I guess the tile is cooler.
