    I tried the "foil" thing. Didn't work very well--Kitty just ignored it, and Snow just *loved* to curl up on it. Of course, this was the same cat who would actually close the heater vents in the living room, and usually slept in the bathtub

      My cat is very neat about her poo--if she goes elsewhere, it means something is very wrong. My parents have had a lot of luck with orange peels left where the cat should not be. It will kind of depend on the cat though. I'd also suggest for orange peels that you replace them every couple of weeks, or when they start to seriously dry and shrivel.

        Heh, when my cats were declawed, we couldn't use regular litter for about two weeks until their paws healed. My mom got a different kind which is basically newspaper pellets. Boy was fine with this; Girl, on the other hand, was not amused. She would pee in the box, but she pooped in the hallway outside my room (probably because it's around a corner and dark). Luckily I never stepped in it. Once they got their regular litter back, she stopped doing it and hasn't since. Brat.
