Who's your favorite CS.com poster and why?

Yeah my parents wonder too. This is more than a message board, or a community. This is a family. And I love you all!

My mom's pretty cool with it . . . she'll ask once in a while what's going on here. And she enjoys reading all the Christmas cards that come in every year as much as I do.

My brother will hear me laughing (especially if I'm outside on the porch reading) and ask what's happened. It kills him at times hearing about how stupid people can be.

As for favorites, I can't say. Of course, I'm a Gravekeeper fan, who isn't? I hate to name fingers, every single one of you has made me laugh, touched something I share, gotten me angry on your behalf, made me cry, at some point or another.

People I can think of off the top of my head, I guess, are Jester, Blas, Dips, Rum. Raps and Sheldon are hilarious. I know I'm leaving a million people out. Feh. All the whole lot of you. I wish Kara would come back, too.

Well, I have to say that ToyShoppeChick would have to be my favorite. Who's she? She's my Fiance, who created an account, and has never posted.

Beyond that, GK and VRS are the two posters I'm always looking for when I log in.

If I had to chose favorites, GK for has scything sarcasm, Mr Hero, The Hippie, EQ, Khirashy, and the new guy from vegas, something Mercenary because they all share my pain (and because Khirashy is cute ), RHPG, because she is my hag... er... sister I never had (I love you too RHPG), SG15Z just because, umm (this is so hard after meeting a lot of these people on facebook to remember their CS names)... I'll ETA after I remember who else that I can't think of the CS name for

And yes, this is like a giant family... I"m pretty sure if I were to die, the people here would know about it sooner than a good number of my 'real life' friends.

ETA- Slytofhand, because he often times agrees with me on fratching, Moogie, because she's my rooomate's girlfriend, I'll add more I"m sure...

And I understand the real name thing. Though sometimes I get it vise versa. Everytime I hang with Lupo and EQ (before she left us!) I want to call them by their CS names. Though Lupo is use to it.

Yeah, I'm used to it. I'm Lupo in real life, too. EQ and DataJager refer to me by that name, so do some old high school friends. My mama's Lupo, too, which can get kind of awkward at gatherings, but we manage.

And when hanging out with EQ, I'll call her by her real name, but if I'm particularly frazzled (or in one case, lost in the mall), I'll generally flail around, calling for Evil Queeeeeeeeeeeen!! The strange looks and people slowly backing away to give me space are just a bonus.

Of course, that could be because my own name that I use IRL came from a handle online, so...

I love this board! It's the only forum I'm really involved with, and I love the community here. I love that you guys are willing to put up with me when I'm feeling depressed, and are here to laugh at the latest antics of my batshit crazy CEO (which reminds me, I have more to post!)

You're Lupo in my phone. Less likely to go "which <real name> is this again?" when going through my phone list.

Heh, I can imagine the looks you got. One time I was looking for my cousin so I yelled at her by the nickname she gave herself one summer (Candy Cane). And she was yelling for me by her nickname for me (Sparrow). Now picture being in the mall and hearing "CANDY CANE!!" "SPARROW!!" being yelled back and forth. In fact we still do that. Ah such good times.

I tend to prowl the majority of the board while I'm at work, whether or not I'm logged in. I get a random snerk from a lot of our fine members both new and old. Though if I must form some sort of cohesive list I admit I'll click on VRC, customersruinmylife or Jester first if I see them. Simply because I'm always amazed at the sheer audacity of their clientele.

there are a few people that I still refer to primarily by their CS names... Like Fenrus and Broom (oh, there's another one to add to my post) because they have the same first name as me, and that just seems weird calling someone else by my name (that's actually how I got my nickname, and why I often times still use Smiley IRL... my first summer job was at a scout camp, there were just over 30 people on staff, 7 of us had the same name... yeah, we all got nicknames on day two )

But for the real names on people, things like SG looks just like one of my friends in high school that had the same name (you didn't happen to used to live in Reno, did you SG ), EQ, well she looks and sounds like you'd expect someone named (EQ) to look and sound, same thing with RHPG.

My biggest problem now is on both facebook and messenger remembering who I know from CS and who I know from gaygeeks.org... oh, that could lead to some bad things happening (unless of course there is anyone on CS who would like to talk geeky to me... then by all means, my AIM name is the same as on here )

But, I certainly like XX's turn of phrases. And XXX's amusements (even when he's cursing).. and XXXX's.. and... yeah, ok - you see my point? I could just throw names and go on forever....

So, I won't and just let you all keep on guessing
