TWO MONTHS TO GO!!!

In two months time, TTO and I will be packing our bags. A few hours from this time in two months, we'll be driving to the airport. A few hours after THAT, we'll officially be on our way to visit SWMBO and HWMBO (aka my parents) in Canada!!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Haven't seen the parents since last year February - we're a pretty close family, so not seeing them for that long hasn't been fun This is the first time TTO is going overseas, and HWMBO is organising white water rafting for us! YAY!!!!

I live in Saskatchewan! Are you hitting the so-called big cities? I'm in Saskatoon and it's just starting to get beautiful here for the summer and it will stay beautiful well on into August, so you picked a perfect time to visit.

I really have to go to Saskatchewan one day. With the exclusion of one trip to Toronto I've never been outside the Atlantic provinces. And up until a few weeks ago, I had never even been to Newfoundland, which I might be moving to in the fall.

I went there through Detroit into Windsor three months ago. Customs was pretty laid back, only asked me a few questions and sent me on my way. Now, if you plan on visiting the United States expect a 15-minute interrogation about why you're crossing, what you're declaring, where you're from, what you're doing here, what you have on you (a few times). And you may be searched. At least, that's all what happened to me, and I was born here!

Hehe, when I was working in Philadelphia, my friend went to a mathematics convention or somesuch (we worked for a math publisher and she is an editor) in Saskatoon. She brought back a postcard that said "Saskatoon at Night"...it had a little bit of moon and was otherwise completely black.
