  • Good Vibes needed, Please.

I don't know much of what happened or how, but I do know that a friend of mine has been missing for about three days now. He left me a cryptic message on the phone shortly before he vanished telling me that he had something to do and that if anything happened to him, he loved me like the little sister I never had.

He is not the type of guy to not answer his phone in a timely fashion. Even his parents have no clue where he is and I am super worried. I have a sinking feeling in my heart and I'm quite frightened.

If you all could send some vibes his way to ensure that he's found okay it'd be greatly appreciated it.

PS: and I'm doubly scared considering another friend of ours was left with an envelope and given instructions to give said envelope to the cops if he isn't back in three days.

Holy crap! Weird (but not totally..)

Instincts (and companions) say "He knows what he's doing". Also, trepidation, anxiety and fear... and melodrama! It's not as bad as he thinks (well, things won't go as bad as he thinks they might).

I suspect he'll be back shortly...

            Does that help?

If not.. then :hugs: for you!

Yikes! Anything that includes a letter to be given to cops in case of disappearance is cause for concern. Has anyone read the letter?

The friend who was holding the letter got a call from some random person. He was told that he better hurry up to the Grand Canyon to find our friend because it was getting dark and it gets surprisingly cold at night in the desert...and that injured people don't fare well when its dark and cold.

Alarms are ringing off in my head and I don't know what to do. I am too far away to go do something and Friend2 went off to find F1 all by his lonesome. I begged him to do what he was told -- take the letter to the cops and have them help find F1 but he's being stubborn.

Should I start calling hospitals? If I do what should I say? I'm not a family member....would they even give me the details if he were there? I'm suddenly wishing I had F1's parent's numbers so I could coax them into filing a missing person's report (or can I do that myself?).

As I said, at first I thought this was a joke but seriously, this has stopped being funny a long time ago and it is much too elaborate to be a joke. >.<

Thank you all for the good vibes, it helps me somewhat..gives me comfort that someone, out there, gives a damn.

I doubt a hospital would give you any details, but they may be able to tell you whether or not he is there.

You could call the cops in the area and tell them what you know. Was there any particular location in the GC given? Anything you know could at least get them started. Nothing says you can't call the police and tell them about this letter and that Friend 2 went off on his own.

                      Update:

I've spent the last week or so in a rather depressed mode. Aside from trying to keep busy with setting up the new apartment in order, I've yet to recieve a call from Friend 2 OR Friend 1.

Since my first post, both friends have gone missing and with Friend 2 the location of the letter. I've no clue if he did what friend 1 asked or if he pulled it out and took it with him in seach of F1 or what.

Another friend of ours and I spent countless hours trying to a) call hospitals b) find F1's & F2's family's numbers to no avail. I am hoping both their parents filled out a missing person's report; I've been unable to. I'm too far away and I'm not being taken seriously. I'm told that both men are grown enough to do what they want and the police don't suspect foul play. I feel like an emotional/erratic little lady.

A fourth acquaintence (friend of F1, F2 and F3 but one I met two weeks prior to F1 going awol) got a strange phonecall a day ago. She said there was only breathing and then it hung up. With two friends gone we're all freaked out and she has not answered her phone. She asked how come neither myself or F3 got any calls and well.. we both just moved and disconnected phones a week prior to F1's dissapearence. I doubt F1 had bothered to add our contacts to his phone.

I still hope that they're all okay although I have a sinking suspicion I won't see either friend again.

THANK YOU ALL for your continuous support and prayers. My friend has been found -- well, both of them. F2 was diligent and persistent and eventually found F1 as a Jon Doe in a small hospital out in the middle of nowhere. From what he understood a hiker found F1 and that was that.

F1 is awake and alert. The downside? He's lost use of his limbs due to some severe injuries (think pretty bad fall and beatings). Doctors hope that with some therapy he might be able to walk with the aide of a cane or walker.

Glad they've both been found and that they're safe now. I wish Friend 1 was unhurt though. *continues to send good thoughts and prayers*

                            Yay!!!

Glad he's shown up (better hurt and alive, than not). And he did think he knew what he was getting into.

I hope that's the end of it (well, maybe not... think he'll pursue who did it legally? I'm guessing not...).

And... are you going to add to his injuries, and add some to F2... for being idiots? And leaving you in such a state?

I'll give them some good old fashion ear pullin' once I can. I get where they're coming from at not wanting to say anythign to anyone.

I'm guessing F1 won't want to pursue anything legal but I don't know how much of it is his choice, y'know?
