I'm one of those people who doesn't like watch myself on video or hear myself on the radio.

That is totally normal. I was a broadcasting major, I was a DJ, I was ON the radio, and I still hated to hear my own voice being played back! I know I have a good radio voice, not because of hearing it (think I sound like a fucking dork), but because, after 800 people tell you something, you start believing it!
