I had a busy morning at work. I had been on the phone with about 5 different companies/people for various reasons, and I was on hold almost every time. So to pass the time, I would do some work or surf the net.
Finally, I got a second to call my doctor to make an appointment for tomorrow. I was put on hold, then, too so I did the same thing with occupying my time. So when someone finally picked up, I froze
I had COMPLETELY forgotten what the hell I had called about. And then it hit me after about 5 full seconds: "Oh yeah, this is the doctor's office, right? I forgot I'm calling for ME and not for work!"
I apologized the the lady at the doctor's, and she laughed and said she did the same thing. I'm glad she understood, but MAN....I need to go home.
