As requested, hair pic

Ok, here's the latest pic of my hair. I had my head tilted forward a bit so it looks a bit odd, but should get a basic idea of the current length.

I am not as cute as Iradney, so I don't face the camera!

I just did the unthinkable on Saturday and had my chest-middle back length hair chopped off to a few inches below my shoulders. Doesn't seem like a lot, but it's actually almost 5 inches of hair gone.

I cant imagine how much work it is on a day to day basis! I had hair past my butt as a kid and it took 5-6 hours to air dry and hours a week to keep knot free.

Which is why I wash it before I go to bed (only wash it twice a week, max) and let it dry overnight. It doesn't knot too badly, provided I comb it two or three times a day. It's honestly about the same amount of work as when I had short hair--with short hair I was always fighting bed-head, and couldn't do any interesting styles with it.

And the medieval maiden is exactly the look I'm going for! Only one more year, and it should be down to my knees, or close to it.

Man, how do you keep your hair from having split ends from your shoulders down? It looks great.

I just trim split ends as I see them forming; a little maintenance every week keeps it looking good. Also, I don't shampoo the length of my hair, just the scalp. In addition, I only comb it, never brush, and use only a VERY wide tooth comb to comb it when it's wet. All that helps keep it in good condition.

I have a picture somewhere from college, in which I am hanging upside down off the side of my friend's bed...so my friends put a pair of sunglasses on the back of my head and broke out the camera.

(Mine wasn't quite as long as yours, but close.)

Did someone say Cousin ITT??? (yes, that is me under all that... and 'that' is my hair! - it's a few years old, but it's back to that length now - or longer!)

LOL! You're welcome. And yes, I wash it in the evenings so that it can dry while I sleep. Works pretty well so far. Average growth of human hair is 6 inches a year, and mine is about 6 inches above my knees right now--it's a little hard to tell in the pic.

personally, I wash my hair on nice warm sunny and slightly breezy days. And then maybe go for a walk..

There's a guy around town here who has his down to his ankles... Got a pic of him in the paper a couple of weeks ago, but I'd seen him perform anyway (why, yes, he is in a metal band!!! Ah, no, not glam...)
