A time of suck is upon me

My grandmother is dying. She is in her final stages of alzheimers where in she has forgotten how to swallow.
This woman is like a second mother to me. Monday I will hopefully get my settlement deposited into my account and be able to get a plane ticket home. Its summer. In Hawaii. Prime tourist season. That means I will be paying out the nose for tickets.
I'm not doing so well.

My grandfather died of alzheimers many years ago. Fortunately for me, we lived interstate, so I'm still left with a memory of that cheeky grin/smirk on his face, and a sense of humour
