  • She's still hanging in there

    There's nothing like waiting for a loved one to die. You know its going to happen, the hospice nurses say any day now, but she's still hanging on days past when they thought she would be gone.
    I have barely eaten in the 2 weeks since they have said her demise is imminent, and the only place I feel safe enough to cry is at church.

    Sounds like my grandmother....

    I don't really have any words of wisdom, though. Just hugs.

      We're in the same boat, Akasa. My grandmother is right at the door but hasn't stepped through. It's hard because you want it to be done, but you feel guilty because you know what that means....
