As soon as I got home from work last night, my sister and one of my brothers arrived to tell me that my Dad passed away yesterday afternoon. He had a part time job (he had been retired for 11 years) working as a courier for a dental lab. He was on a run and had a massive fatal heart attack while driving. Fortunately, he was driving slowly and his foot fell off the gas and the car bumped into something and stopped. Two off-duty paramedics saw it happen and immediately called 911 and started CPR but they were unable to revive him. The coroner said that it happened so fast that he probably didn't even know what happened. They don't think that he suffered and when my Mom saw him, she said he looked very peaceful. We spend the day making funeral arrangements and choosing a cemetery plot. I am still in shock - he had triple bypass surgery in 1988 and has had several heart attacks since then, but has always been OK. You would think that having had 21 years to prepare for this that it would not have been such a shock. The hardest thing I have ever had to do was to tell my 24 year old daughter that her "Chuckie" had died. I'm just a mess right now. We really need all the good thoughts and prayers we can get.

*offers hugs and prayers*
I'd also hate to be the one to have to tell someone else any bad news.
1129. I will refrain from casting Dimension Jump and Magnificent Mansion on every police box we pass.
