  • # 5 & #6

It's been reported that Billy Mays was found dead. My 1st reaction upon hearing that bit of news was this--->"What the hell is going on that all these famous people are passing away???"
It wouldn't surprise me if within the month we hear about the passing of Patrick Swayze & Dick Clark. Patrick Swayze has been battling cancer & Dick Clark has been sick for a long time & several years ago suffered a stroke PLUS he's near 80 years old!
It's sad & it makes you think.

My first reaction: "It's been a rough month on the Baby Boomers."

    (of which I am one)
Everything will be ok in the end. If it's not ok, it's not the end.

Gale Storm has passed away. My father is sad about that--he says "My Little Margie" was a very big show when he was young in the 50's.

Sooo...does she count as number 5?

The scene in heaven right now:

"Hey there! I'm Billy Mays for Halo Shine! It not only gets rid of unsightly stains, it makes your halo look brand new! It also works great on wings and robes! So don't worry about those wine stains and bread crumbs ANY LONGER! Use Halo Shine!"
The New Orleans Saints are your 2009 NFL champions.

            Believe dat.

I'm more upset about Billy Mays than I was about Michael Jackson. He was a cheesy infomercial guy, but from everything I've heard and read about him he was a genuinely sweet family guy. Plus, he had a little girl who is only 3. I feel terrible for his family.

Strangely, I know how you feel. I felt like I "knew" Billy Mays more, mostly because I saw him a lot more than MJ. As much as I liked MJ, Billy Mays seemed like a really nice guy, even if I found his commericals annoying sometimes.

Dick Clark won't die. He is immortal, you know.

*looks up gale storm* Thats it i am psychic, when MJ died i said to my mom ' just you wait some not so famous but loved is going to die and them some else oddly or super famous and all before the end of Sunday.' maybe i shouldn't predict death....
at least i didn't kill Oprah (yes i joked about her being #5 because i wanted to see who would have more TV for their death Oprah or MJ)
and technically gale is #4 and billy is #5

I'm looking at the list of names of deaths in June of 2009 on Wikipedia right now...

                        - fantasy novelist David Eddings
                        - actor Shih Kien (played the villain Han in Bruce Lee's "Enter the Dragon")
                        - David Carradine
                        - actor Joey Palermo ("Everybody Hates Chris")
                        - Mitsuharu Misawa (Japanese wrestler, died in the ring during match... yes, I'm a wrestling fan and have seen his matches)
                        - Ed McMahon
                        - Romeo LeBlanc (former Governor General of Canada 1995-1999)
                        - Michael Jackson
                        - Farrah Fawcett
                        - Gail Storm
