  • My boss is a sick, sick man.

And that is why I love him. So, you ask what has prompted this latest display of affection for my mentally disturbed boss?

I just got a text from him, one I am sure he has sent to all the employees and many regular customers as well.

It seems that this Thursday night at The Bar we'll be hosting the Jackson 4 Launch Party: A Politically Incorrect Tribute to the Gloved One. There will also be costume and dance contests, especially for people in MJ or Farrah Fawcett costumes.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again.....I LOVE MY JOB!

Sounds like the makings of an entertaining evening. I'd love to see some of the interesting people making they're way into your bar that night, tho. now i have the unmistakable urge to moonwalk......
Sorry, my love cannot be bought. And if it could, you obviously don't have enough in your account to do so.

Sounds like a definite financial gain coming the club's way that particular evening. Smart business man, your boss.

Damn, I wish I lived in that town. Sounds like the proper way to send off The Gloved One. I'm tired of talking to his weeping fans on the phone trying to order flowers for Neverland Ranch.

I was thinking more like Farrah in the red swimsuit.

would violate the no MJ jokes rule here, so just imagine...

I actually have most of my costume done in my head.

Possibly might be doing a zombie mask or zombie makeup.
Will be wearing a black fedora type hat.
                      Will be wearing aviator shades.
Will be wearing a surgical mask. (With the shades and mask, may forego the whole zombie thing.)
Might be wearing pajamas. Might also be wearing black slacks and a black "Chinese" shirt that seems like something Mike might wear that I have, but have never had a chance to wear. It looks vaguely similar to this.
Might be carrying a teddy bear.
                      Might be handing out lollypops.
Might be handing out tickets to Neverland.
                      Probably will wear slippers.
Just thought of this...might have an open umbrella.
The best part is, I don't need any coloring makeup....hell, Mike was whiter than me! (That's really not a joke....if you compare my current complexion to his over the last ten years, he is MUCH paler than me.)

Yeh. I really find a lot of the stuff in Thriller a bit ironic... MJ _really_ wasn't like the other boys... and over the years the changes to his appearance took him less and less human, less alive. Sad that despite all the people who adored him he still came apart at the seams trying to be something other than himself.

Oh, yeah, like I ever read that!

(ducks and runs out of the room...)

....and runs back into the room to edit this and add:

Okay, read the thing about the Michael Jackson jokes rule, and I'll abide by that.

That being said, if anyone here would like some Michael Jackson jokes, PM me. I have a whole BUNCH!

I've heard many jokes since MJ died. They run the gamut of mediocre to fairly sick. We don't want that bringing the board down in a war between jokers and supporters.
