    Well, at least it's over.

    My grandmother was in hospice for about a week. I got a call from my mom this morning that she had died.

    I don't know how to feel. She was my grandmother. I have fond memories of eating at her home, seeing her at Christmas, etc. On the other hand, the last time I talked to her, she thought I was my father.

    All I can say for certain about my emotions is that I'm glad she's no longer in pain and I'm going to miss her terribly.

        Thanks, guys. Yesterday was pretty hard, but I think I'm through the worst of it. Would you believe a friggin' heavy metal song made me break down?

          I know how it feels, recently we lost my aunt (cancer) hate that shes gone, happy she not in pain, and yes I cant listen to Metallica for now, as she did like them..

                I'm not going to patronize you by pretending that I know what you're feeling, because I don't. I will, however, and as many people here are doing, offer you my dearest condolences. I've lost loved ones before, I hope you're doing OK.
