So there was a fire at the Patrick Cudahy meat-packing plant last night/this morning. Some lady smelled smoke and reported it. I wonder if she woke up thinking, "I smell steak"? So, who wants to be on the clean-up crew?

On a related note: My wife and I lived above a deli back in Chicago for a while. One night our house was permeated by a fantastic smell - for about an hour or two. Then, worse and worse. Someone forgot to remove a roast beef from the oven.
