  • I need a hug...:(

One of my guinea pigs died today. I dont know what happened, I just happened to wake up this morning and went over to say Good Morning as always, but she was just laying there.

Im just sad, I realize I only had her for 3 weeks, but I grow very attached to my animals. Its heartbreaking to see the other one running up and down, like shes looking for her.

I'm so sorry! It's always hard to lose a pet, even one that you've had for only a little while. I remember being heartbroken when my gerbil died.

      BIG hug!

I had to have one of my cats put to sleep last year, and the other one kept walking around and calling for him; it was heartbreaking. We've had a rough period of adjustment here, with me bringing in another kitty, but they seem to have settled now. Can you get another guinea pig?

        BIG hug!

Can you get another guinea pig?
Thanks. I can, im just waiting a few days to make sure it wasnt some sickness that the other one caught and will now die too. Im an optimist, can u tell? LOL. I had a funeral for her at 3:30 this afternoon and a couple people came over to say goodbye. LOL. My family loves animals.

        Thank you Joi also.

Awww, I'm sorry about your guinea pig. I remember when I had an aquarium, I got really upset when one of my guppies died! Imagine crying over a fish...hopefully your other guinea pig will be okay so you can get him another friend!

              Aw, poor baby

My mom said the cats did that after Pablo died...they'd walk around the house like they were looking for him. I'm sure they wondered what happened to the giant mouse .

Sorry, Amina. And GPs are so cute! Mine died when I was a kid & my parents lied and told me someone stole her! Loved her.

*Big hugs to you hun* So sad to lose a pet. Keep you and your little fluffy in my thoughts. It's always hard to see the survivor looking for them... My fat ferret still catches the scent of his buddy every now and then and goes off looking for him. But we all seem to be doing better, and I am glad you are thinking about a new friend for your other little fluffy.

Hugs. It's hard- I've had a number of small mammals, most of them died of old age, but it's always hard, no matter how long you've had them.

                              Thanks all.

Ive been watching my other GP like a hawk today to see if shes showing any signs of being sick or anything since I dont know what the other one died of. She seemed to sleep alot today, but I think Im just being paranoid... Im kinda scared. Im looking into getting another one so Squiggys not so lonely.
