Baby kitties don't like to hold still, so the pics aren't great, and I was afraid to keep them out alone too long, as they must be kept very warm.

But anyway, when I inspected them for fleas and changed the towel in the box, I got a few quick pix of them. They are at the link above if anyone is interested in cooing over teeny weeny baby kitties.

OH I Love baby kittens.......

My cat Katerina...who is going to be seven next month, came to me in the exact same way. We moved into an apartment, and this pregnant cat came along starving..so we fed her and she had her kittens in our living room one week after we moved in. I watched Katerina being born.....and I still have her

Do you have any kind of bulletin board at work or a local access channel? If you want to go beyond putting up posters at the shelter or around the neighborhood, maybe airing it live could help find the owner, if there is one.

That dark mackeral in the second pic is lovely. I'm tempted to adopt it when its old enough to seperate. I don't think the current mistress of the house would approve. She actually radiated hate the last time a roommate snuck a kitten in.

they are going to call around and find a local no-kill shelter to take the little family in, and until then, Mary and her babies are welcome to stay here with me and my boys.

If you're still looking for a no-kill shelter, the Cat Adoption Team is in Sherwood. I adopted my Siamese mix from them, and my sister adopted a cat from them as well.

They refuse to take strays. They will only take pet cats from their owners, and you have to pay a hefty fee for every cat you surrender to them. I can't afford to pay them $240 for six cats.

They must have changed their policies in the last few years. My Siamese-mix had been a stray, wandering around an apartment complex in Tualatin when they took him in. It has been about 7 or so years since I adopted from them though.

I called around today, and every single shelter in Portland is full to capacity. I think it probably has to do with the economy. The only place that will take them is animal control. And I don't want to turn them over to animal control, Momma kitty is sooooooo sweet.

I don't know what I'm gonna do.
