  • and they still don't know why...

OK so yesterday I started feeling short of breath at work. Was getting dizzy when I stood or walked. Started losing my ability to think clearly. So I went to the ER.

I have asthma but this was diffrent. Was not weezing just could not get enough air in me. Asthma meds were not working neither was the breathing treatment they gave me. All that did was make me feel jittery on top of everything. After 3 hours of monitoring they sent me home. Told me to drink pleanty of water and rest.

Went to the dr in the morning. Tested my blood sugar, my urine, my pulse ox and could find nothing wrong. Then sent me for a CT scan. still nothing. Then an Ultrasound. Still nothing.

I still cant seem to catch my breath. And still don't know why. I am supposed to go back in on Thrursday.

So the past 2 days have sucked pretty badly.

    I need a hug.
My sanity has been dripping out of me my whole life, today they turned on the faucet.....

      And have another couple

Hate that you have to go through this, monolayth. Being sick and not knowing just sucks and blows at the same time.

      For good measure.

That sucks! I have been short of breath because the kid is jammed into my ribs, but never to that extent.

Good luck! I hope they find (and figure out a way to stop it) soon. Not knowing what it is must be awful.

Could it be stress related? That combined with the baby pressing on everything.... I know when I get stressed out I have a hard time getting a deep breath and I don't have an almost-full term baby complicating matters...

Kinda sounds like you had low blood pressure. (IMHO...but, Im not a doctor..)

Im assuming ur pregnant? It could also be the pressure from the baby. With pregnancy, you gain about 30% extra blood volume and its hard for a body to deal with sometimes. Also, it could all just be rushing up when you stand or walk, if you're rising too quickly, making u feel unsteady and etc.

Just me and my thoughts tho.

                    Hope you feel better.

(And if ure not pregnant, disregard the second paragraph...lol.)

Have they checked your iron levels? I had those kinds of problems when I was pregnant with Daughter years ago and we found out that, normally, my iron levels are very low and so with the baby needing some of it, they were getting dangerously low, to the point that it was causing horrible circulation problems and other issues.

I'm glad the baby is okay and hope they can figure out what's wrong with you soon! I'm so sorry and wish there was more I could do beyond just sending you mental hugs and happy thoughts.

Not good. Try to calm yourself down. I know this is scary and stressful, but stress isn't good for you right now.

And don't be scared to call or feel stupid about calling your doctor if you need to.
