  • Too much information, Grandma!

My grandma is now 82, and we all love her, but she has a tendency to give us every detail. She goes into very specific details about her bathroom problems, her health problems and everything else. It can be pretty scary sometimes.
Yesterday my mother was talking about how a firefly was buzzing around her head at night and how cute it was. My grandmother said "I saw fireflies back in the 1950s (or whenever, I forget the year) when Percy (my grandfather) and I stopped the car on the side of the road to have sex." Can anybody see where she could have ended her sentence? Like 3 words from the end? My dad was there too and he said to my mom "All she had to say was 'I saw some fireflies'! How hard would that have been?"
I just thought it was funny, I felt like sharing it.
It is a terrible thing to see and have no vision.

I want to do that when I get old.
How was I supposed to know someone was slipping you Birth Control in the food I've been making for you lately?

The last time I saw my great-aunt (she passed away earlier this year), she told my mom and I about her honeymoon in vivid detail. She would not stop talking. I did not want to hear about her and Great-Uncle Al getting it on.

My mom used to be really bad about that sort of thing - a few years ago, my sister had to drop some stuff off for her at the school where she worked, and apparently Mom was in the staff lunchroom telling several other teachers all about her "stomach problems" during a recent car trip.
