  • As I (A.T.M) sit dying

Yes i know there are people worst off than me but i have spent the last 48 hours puking my guts out.

after i got home from Show low i started to feel... icky.
i had cramps in my stomach, was thirsty all the time, and well my back end started to more active....

yesterday morning i woke up with a huge charlie horse, now that leg is swollen in the calf by the way, and was hongrey but nothing sounded good so i had some cornflacks and just sat in pain all form cramps. my mom took me and my little sister to a really nice buffet where i ate alittle (1 plate small portions of sides one entire my moms and sisters plates where fuller) i ate my food commetted that some of the pasta wasnt so good, got up got my mom some macaroons and me a slice pf pie i would never get the chance to eat. when i stood i felt woozy i walked over and with every step i felt like gravity was pulling harder. i started to gag alittle we i got back t the table and i sat down right away and covered my mouth. My mom looked around the room but could find the bathroom and i knew if i stood up i would puke all over the floor so i started contracting on my stomach and not puking and had almost succeeded (i serisouly felt 15% better) when my sister said "Slice just get up and ask the lady where the bathroom is, we dont want you puking at the table." I looked and said im not going to puke at the table.

and i puked into my napkin.

The lady saw me, ran me to the bath room where i puked again and clean my self up.
i sat down again later while my sister and mother tried to finish up, puked again and had my sister drive home, my sister who could understand the only thing keeping me from puking in the car was being able to lean to the left and closing my eyes and who decided to screw with me by stop mid park to stare a t the space.

ran inside puked for a 4th time and layed down and died.

my sister had to walkm my dog for me.

today i felt better so i walked to get something sweet to settle my stomach alittle and wond up back in bed with the only thing help me alittle bit of sour candy.

I feel like crap and i now know my bathroom better than ever.

im going to go back to bed now before i puke up my water again.

    DRINK FLUIDS
GATORADE will help you. Do not get dehydrated doing the puking!

Eat something small and simple like bread or toast, or crackers.

    Water and Gatorade.

If you're still puking later today, call a dr's clinic.

Slice I would suggest going to a doctor ASAP your symptoms are common with some food borne illnesses.

Thirstiness + Vomiting is typical of illnesses associated with eating bad meat, usually pork or some other type of wild game.

Although with the fact that you say your backside is alot more active it could just as easily be severe Diarrhea

Either way these are things that you want to be treated ASAP.

I agree with getting fluids into you and trying to keep them there. In any case, get well soon and get yourself to a doctor.

This sounds an awful lot like my worst kidney infection. I couldn't even keep water down. This could be food-borne, but it could also be an infection. Go to the doctor, whatever works best for you. If it is an infection, it will probably only get worse.

Glad you're feeling better, Slice. Sounds like a 24-hour bug. Possible food-borne illness, but that often resolves itself in the same time frame.

Hubby swears by garlic for upset tummy. Seems to help him, so I guess there might be something to it.

Garlic is known as a multi-ailment cure, and by having it as garlic toast makes it easier to stomach.

Heh, yeah. With serious tummy issues, stick to dry solids or basic broths. Crackers and Toast are good because they'll cancel more of the acids in the stomach that are running out of control. And I second the clear liquids and sports drinks for drinking. If you need the sugar, drink 7-up or Sprite in small sips to keep the carbonation low. If you can stand flat pop, drink it flat.

It does sound like some bad eats, though. You may want to run a check up with the doc.

The others have already posted some good advice, so I'll try to add something new- jell-o. Nice and easy to digest. Gatorade is not recommended for long-term re-hydration- if you're drinking that exclusively it can actually dry you out because it's got rather a lot of sugar in it. If you like it, though, try diluting it a bit, or drinking it and water as well.

Garlic is, in fact, well-known for easing some tummy troubles- other 'friendly' spices include anise, chamomile, and peppermint. The latter two can help with the dehydration, too- drink the teas only mildly sweetened and without milk while the dehydration is still an issue, and to avoid upsetting the tummy any further. (Milk is harder to digest.)

Other than that, if you're still having troubles in another day or so, it's time to go to the E.R., because it's something more serious than a 24-hour bug.
