  • It'sa my birthday!

Or well, it was my birthday, yesterday. I'm 26, now.

Now, anyone who has a summer birthday knows the trials and challenges of trying to get people together to do something. People are on vacation, out of town for summer jobs, home with their families....and I've always had lame-ass birthdays. Not this one, though!

Wound up waking up at about 6:21 am (which is when I was born), had a chuckle at the fate of the universe, and slept for a bit longer. Mom called me to wish me a happy day. I went out to run errands, bought some half-price picture frames at Hobby-Lobby, returned some shirts, grocery shopping. Picked up some BBQ for lunch.

Spent the afternoon playing on the internets and otherwise being lazy. Took a shower, talked to my sister, called home again, Dad's obviously drunk again, but hey, it's my birthday and it's not my problem.

My buddy J picks me up, and we meet a bunch of friends at an Italian-American type place. I eat a ridiculous amount of food. Pepperoni rolls, pizza, and they brought me a big cookie with a scoop of ice cream on top, with a candle! Yay! So many carbs that, despite the two margaritas, I still felt pretty good. We talk for nearly 3 hours, and leave so that our waitress can go home. Thank J for the ride, even though I didn't really need it. Then he says...nope, we're going drinking! I'm so full I can barely walk, and I'm concerned about dumping a bunch of alcohol on my stomach. But we go to a bar and.....there's a bunch of my actors from the show I stage managed this summer! Yay! They sang Happy Birthday to me, and a random girl gave me a shot of tuaca. J bought me a Jack & Coke, and we all hung out for a while before going home and rolling into bed around 1.

Then, at about 4, the apartment shakes. "What the hell?" A storm. And not just a quiet little summer storm either. Lightning, thunder, rain, it was bad.. I managed to fall back asleep, but I was not happy. I hate storms. Hate To the point that I think all of you who like storms are crazy peoples.

Anyway, fall back asleep....and wake up at 11:30 am. And now here I am, trying to decide whether to eat breakfast or lunch.

Yes, and I got it, I just haven't started thanking everyone for birthday messages yet.

      Thank you!

Sounds like you had a great one!
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.

I did have a great one, thanks!

Right now, I am being very VERY frustrated by not being able to log on to my Facebook... I tried changing my password, and it brought up my account as it was....3 years ago! I was finally able to get back on my profile as it is now, but now it won't let me in again! My password is right, it just keeps on bringing up the log in page again and again. I NEED my Facebook!!!

Happy Birthday! Sounds like you had a good time! You were making me hungry with all that food description....sounds delightful. Mmmmm...

I never thought of it, but I guess it IS hard for people with a summer birthday to get people together! My sister's is June 27th so she has a bit of difficulty. But hey, at least you didn't have to be in school! (Even though that's kind of cool because you can bring in cupcakes for the class). Whatever, I'm just rambling now. Enjoy!
