So today, I had orientation for a volunteer program that reads to the blind. Mostly, I'll be reading the newspaper in the morning, but I can read short stories and can work my way up to novels. They use a closed-circuit radio or dial-in number to reach their listeners.

I'm excited! I love reading and if I can help someone else in the process, so much the better! I've told them about the Dresden Files and apparently now have dibs on them. If someone asks for it, I'll be the one to read it. It may not be paying, but I look forward to it all the same!

That sounds awesome. Congrats! Before we moved in together, boyfriend and I used to read on the phone to each other. It was a lot of fun.
