  • I'm going to be an auto-mechanic

Well, I've narrowed the rattling noise in my supercharger to purely a coupler issue. I have a new coupler ordered as well as new bearings. I might as well take care of those while I'm in there. My mechanic was trying to tell me it was such a difficult task and that I'd be better to just buy a new supercharger. I don't know how much an Eaton M90 would cost, but I'm sure it's not going to be the $80 a dropped.

Anyone else have experience taking apart the nose of an M90 Eaton?

    What's an M90 Eaton?

    In other words, no.

I didn't know either and googled it. The first up was this. Not that it's much of an instruction .

My friend and I got it fixed over a few beers. Kind of scary though. Kept having to look up things. I was so nervous when we fired up my car. Runs like a champ and it has that beautiful supercharger whine to it. While we were at it, we threw on a new pulley... ~+25 HP. Sexy.

Used supercharger fluid is the most rank smelling stuff ever! I spilled some of it and was not allowed into the house until I hosed off. It was effin' 65 out!

It's done though. Not too hard.

          What's the supercharger attached to?

(I'm saving my pennies so I can void the warranty on my car with a turbocharger )

The super charger is mounted directly on top of the motor. A turbo would be a bit of a different story than a supercharger though...

I guess I was being too obsure... what is the engine are you supercharging?
