My dad died this morning

I don't know what to say, I can't sleep, I go from crying to being numb even thought I knew this was going to happen.

My dad has had a very long and painful fight with prostate cacner and today his pain ended.

I took a pill tgo try to sleep and I'm just waiting for it to kick in, and I have a kitty with a rather spendy bite kneading my leg...

At least he's not in pain anymore... that's about the only thing I can offer except for hugs.

I know how you feel. Not to hijack your thread, but I lost mine last week. We are having the memorial in a couple hours today.

We too knew it was going to happen, even though I'm sure it wasn't as long as what your dad went through. Mine had heart and lung problems that grew over the past few months.

For me and most around me, it was a sense of relief, only because we knew he was suffering towards the end.

I don't think the true grief has even set in yet because of it.

I will miss him so much.

My condolances as well. I went through that in February, 2 weeks before my birthday. It does get easier.
