Does anyone else watch True Blood? (NO SPOILERS, PLEASE)

I LOVE it! I got hooked when season 2 started. I spent a Sunday watching Season 1. I went out and bought the books after I started watching it. LOVED Tara in Episode 1 - She should post on here lol. I love lafayette, and I have to say, Eric is growing on me!!I am going to miss the season finale next week, which sucks! Good thing I can watch it on demand when I come back!!

I've seen the first season of TB, and it's really good!
True Blood is quite well done! It makes sense (for all the supernatural elements), it follows on, it's consistent... [snip]

For another take on the whole vampire thing, the BBC did a mini-series called Ultraviolet some many years ago...I'd suggest a quick peek at that too!

I haven't watched any of the show yet (no pay tv ) but i might have to hire or borrow the dvd's sometime.

I drive for my job and we got new trucks last year (witgh mp3 stereos). So i started getting audiobooks to listen to as i drive.
I'm just finished book 2 todayt and intend to start on book 3 tomorrow.


Ultraviolet is a great show which, unfortunately, only made 6 episodes (1 season for the UK) and should have gone on to a few series IMHO.

...Wow... it seems I am the only one who really did NOT like the show at all... I couldn't even make myself get beyond the first few episodes.... of course while I enjoyed the book series they also didn't make their way into my favorites ((which says something cause I am an ALL THINGS VAMPIRE lover)).... so maybe that's why the show just didn't spark my interest at all... I'm pretty sure I was just laughing by the time I finished watching the few episodes I did...

Laughter is part of True Blood. There is plenty of humor in the series, which is part of what makes it so awesome. It doesn't take itself too seriously. Exhibit A: Jason Stackhouse. Exhibit B: Almost anything that comes out of Tara's mouth. Exhibit C: the cops.
