  • I....I don't know what to say

I was looking up some information for the Kansas City Ren Fest when I noticed a picture on it. It was my friend in full Barbarian outfit. Underneath was the words "Gunnar the Barbarian Rest In Peace"

    Oh, God, no....

His name was Jim Gasser. He ran a business called "Barbarian Battles". He's been in Ren Fests across the country. Everyone always talked about what a great guy he was. He had so much energy. Most importantly, he respected everyone he met.

He died back in March. I hadn't even know. Words can't say how sad I am. Not just because I lost a friend, but because many people lost this great guy. And many more have lost a great teacher.
I have a...thing. Wanna see it?

I'm sorry you lost your friend, he sounds like a great guy.

Seems like I'm gonna miss the Ren Fest yet again...just too much stuff going on this time of year. (KC Japan Fest, September 19th!)

Possibly the greatest tribute is the effect it has on you. Must have been a great guy.

I saw that in the KC paper when they ran a story about it. That is so sad. I'm going to the ren fest this monday. My boyfriend will be in town from Ireland and I partially owe the ren fest to how he and I met.
