  • What's your theme song?

You know... the song that plays when you enter a room or better yet, when you join the party. (RPG'ers will get that.)

I've assigned myself a little project as of late, trying to come up with a theme song for myself and all of my friends. It's coming along, although I have about three people to still find songs for and nothing's coming to mind... But anyway, here's mine:

I chose this for myself partly because of the title -- and I often feel that I am -- but because it's a serious song and it seems to bespeak a person who endures. God knows I do little else. It would seem to be the song of a person who grimly observes the horizon and plans to do what will have to be done. And... that's me.

Here's a friend's, chosen because she's an admitted and incurable Japanophile.

Here's a friend's. Chosen because he's quiet and reserved, but there's a lot more going on under the surface.

Hmm I think in reality it depends on the day. But I think this song does the job usually.

Long ago, for some reason some of my friends dubbed this my theme song.
      It's stuck ever since:

        I Shouldn't Admit This

It's sullen and morose and reflects the misery of having worked with too many people who were woefully unprepared to play mental Jenga with so much as a katydid-- but insisted on trying to drag me (instead) into combat any damned way.

This is mine, partly due to my near constant depression and other stuff.

I go back and forth. Right now, it'd be between these two:

"Magic Man" by Heart and/or "The Kid is Hot Tonight" by Loverboy.

Or if I'm in a bad mood, "Bad Company" by Bad Company.

Of course, there are probably several others, depending upon on my mood, but these are the ones that come to mind.

                          I have many.

This is the song that was my theme song when I was a teenager: Faster - Manic Street Preachers.

If I was a wrestler, this song would be my entrance song: Sister Of Pain - Vince Neil.

And finally, here's my main theme at the moment: Falling To Pieces - Faith No More.

There are probably more, but those are the ones that spring instantly to mind.

Magic Man is pretty awesome for Jester.

I can also kind of see Johnny Moon for him, also by Heart. (Johnny being sort of...you know...magical. )

I'd have to go with Another Brick in the Wall by Pink Floyd

Sometimes I feel unremarkable in life and this song sums that up pretty perfectly
