I'm an IT - Intern (I'm such a geek) at work. I get sent out on all the horrid missions. Typically, sent to desks and cubicles of people who don't know how to plug something in or tell us if their tower is in fact on.
One of my friends (coworker friend) was getting ready for lunch and this girl (that he calls Barbara Walters) asks him where I go for lunch. My friend tells her "I don't know. He and I are going to Tinn's today." And she asked him to ditch me so she could go with me. And he tells her "Well, I'm driving. You can come with." She told him she wanted to get to know me better. He calls her Barbara Walters because she basically wants to interview me.
I tell my girlfriend, because I tell her everything. My girlfriend tells me "tell her your girlfriend really doesn't approve"
Funny thing is, I don't really pay attention to the people I help. I kind of tend to go in and get out as soon as possible. Probably going to have to buy a shift that says "taken" or something along those lines.
It was a funny way to end my day though when I got a text "Barbara Walters is angry she didn't get to say bye to you. Told her she could take her place behind your girlfriend."
Just thought it was amusing someone likes me...
