I was supposed to start work today. They wound up pushing it back until next Tuesday because of numbers, but that kind of worked in my favor. Of course I'd decide to go running the morning of my first day of work. Why wouldn't that be a great idea? Oh...that's right. Because I'm accident prone.
At least no one saw me trip over the side walk and totally bust my butt, skinning both of my palms and my right leg and jamming my elbow. Maybe I SHOULD live in a bubble. The world is obviously to dangerous for me to be out all by myself.
Of course, I took pictures of the damage:
Left hand-

Right hand:

Right leg:

My left hand looks particularly nasty because I put some of that liquid bandage stuff on it - I can't pay a band-aid to stick on my palm because of all the movement and whatnot. HOLY CRAP!! That stuff made me want to say words that I don't say! I wanted to scream, but I decided my air would be better spent blowing on it. Dude...that stuff is freaking awful. I don't think I'll EVER use it again.
So in case you're wondering what I learned from this, it's that
(momentum + force)
gravity = blood.
And to maybe run on grass from now on? Or at least the street where there aren't un-level sidewalk tiles. I looked at it later, by the way, and it was literally a lateral 2-inch part that stuck up like a quarter inch. Of course MY foot would manage to find that.
