The grossest movie I've ever seen would have to be a zombie flick based in New Zealand... Over here it's called "Dead Alive" but I can't remember the name over there... Anyway it was really really gross and I wanna puke just remembering it..

And I agree with whoever said Hills Have Eyes... I had to walk out on that one too.

Yeah that's it. I watched it at my local game shop when they had movie night, and it was disgusting! But also very funny when you add in the audience participation

To be honest? In MY opinion one of the grossest movies I've ever seen is the movie Waiting. All the others don't really bother me. But the fact that they don't bother me bothers me lol.

            The notorious Cannibal Holocaust.

And no, I didn't know know about the animals when I watched it, or I would never have attempted it.

Since the baby my tolerance for grossness has gone way down, though. I kind of hope it returns soon because I have never seen Audition but really want to (I love Miike).
The animals... that's the reason I don't want to see this movie. For some strange reason, I have no problem with cruelty to humans, but when something happens to an animal I get uneasy. I found an old copy of "Bless The Beasts And Children" a while ago (which I hadn't seen since I was a kid) and during the movie they show film of the bison being shot (to snap the story back from going off on storyline tangents). The first time it happened I jumped.

But watch Audition. It's worth it. (EDIT: Also, watch "The Great Yokai War".)

Now, another movie came to mind earlier today: "Three... Extremes", the "Dumplings" story. Easily the best story of the three and definately the most disturbing.

Hostel was the funniest movie I've ever seen in my life. Of course, the bottle of Captain Morgan's I had to accompany it might have had something to do with that...

Back when I was young and held onto a shred of innocence, the USA network used to air these really crappy horror movies every Friday and Saturday night (I think they called them "Fright Night" movies or something like that). It was the precursor to USA's "Up All Night," which originally only showed horror movies until they gave up and just showed whatever. So anyway, I was always terrified of those low-budget crap-fests, but they ultimately led to my being completely desensitized to macabre violence by the time I was 8.

Nonetheless, I'd have to say that the nastiest thing I've ever seen would be parts 1-3 of the Urotsokidoji movies (the only ones I'd ever been able to find and watch). I mean, tentacle rape in and of itself is more wtf than "gross," but these movies take it to extremes never before (or since) even thought about. Add the fact that most victims are raped until they literally explode like human water balloons, and, well, it's kind of sick. But the story is so damned captivating that you can't stop watching.

A close runner up would be Moulin Rouge. The only thing worse than Nicole Kidman's acting is her singing.

Came here specifically to say Urotsokidoji. Diseased minds think alike. Or at least recall similar trauma.

I was in grade 7 or 8 tops. This was before the Interwebs came to town so our minds were pristine and innocent. We were just getting into anime, but it was hard to find so we were giddy over any new show we got and a friend of mine managed to borrow the entire boxed VHS set off of some guy he knew thinking it was more stuff like Akira or Vampire Hunter D. Jesus god we had no idea what we were walking into.

                So much trauma. ><

Return of the Living Dead has the Tarman in the basement, that still grosses me out and the sight of brains dripping out of a skull will make a stomach turn.

Why? Because of what they do to the food? Or was it "the game"?

If you think that was bad - watch Fast Food Nation.

The sad thing is that there is a lot of truth behind movies like these - even if it is exaggerated a little.

Yeah, I think I was in 8th grade. Back when there was no internet to provide you with real reviews of anime and you had to blindly rent whatever the local stores dug up every now and then. And choosing which anime to buy meant going to a place like Suncoast and trying to decipher which box proclaiming that each title was "A Masterpiece!" or "The Greatest Anime of All Time" wasn't bullshit. Then paying $30 (for a VHS) just because it was still a fairly "obscure" genre. Then going home and watching it and being utterly disappointed.

Damn you, X: The Movie. Damn you to Hell...

Oh man...the movie version of X. Rintaro lost on that gamble. And now the manga will never be finished either...damn it, I thought I'd gotten over that disappointment but now I'm pissed off again!

I have to agree with that one . . it's a great one to watch around Halloween, for added effect.

Story is good, but definitely not for the weak of stomach.

I don't watch horror/slasher movies, so I'm thinking I've (thankfully) missed out on a lot of nasty stuff. That being said:

The Shit Demon from Dogma was pretty disgusting.

Pretty much everything in Caligula is just fucked up.

Oh god yes. I had X: The Movie on VHS too. ><

Every video store the same 4 titles: Windaria, Akira, Vampire Hunter D or Bubblegum Crisis.

As for the rest of you, I don't think you understand the level if terror inherent in Urotsukidoji. You haven't seen anything till you've seen a Godzilla sized demon annihilating a city using nothing but his writhing squid like genitals. <shiver>
