Don't hate me--I never get sick, unless you count seasonal allergies. I have no idea why I don't, as I never get enough sleep, work with the public, and constantly lick my fingers to open bags and touch my face a lot. If I call in it's because I have ended up in the ER or a ditch, not due to illness. Guess I have a superhuman immune system.

i can deal with the throat.. but throw in cough and runny nose...very annoying to sit quietly in a class for 50 or 75 minutes

In my family, while growing up, we always knew that someone would get sick during a Holiday. Never failed to happen.

It's now happening with Mr. Rum and Child Rum too.

              Grrrrr.

Quick! Take a massive dose of vitamin C and rinse your ears out with hydrogen peroxide. If you catch a sore throat early enough, you can sometimes prevent the cold from coming on entirely, or at least make the duration of it shorter and more mild.

If you have to ask, it's probably better posted at www.fratching.com

seriously...rinse your ears out with hydrogen peroxide? I have NEVER heard of that before. Does it really help?

Now I do use a saline rinse for my sinuses.

Isn't the saline rinse pretty much for allergies?(My sister does it daily due to very bad allergies.)

I'm getting sick too. Running a fever and feeling a bit light headed. My girlfriend is extremely worried because I just had surgery on Monday. I'll live.

My coworker pal went to urgent care last week because she's been sick for a couple weeks and it's not letting up.

Turns out, she has bronchitis and a sinus infection.

I woke up tonight with a stuffy yet runny nose, icky fever, and a sore throat, but I know it's my seasonal allergies......it really does appear and feel to be like a bad cold, but it's allergies. It happens every single September.
