  • Yes, but what if Jason is my neighbor?

Every Wednesday, I drive my daughter to her speech thearpy appointment which is approximately 45 minutes one way.

Every time, I drive down Route 1, I always pass a trailer park.

Now, I'm sure the trailer park is very nice (you really can't see it from the road).

That's not my problem with it.

    And I don't really have a problem.

It's just that name of the trailer park, gives me pause.

The name of the trailer park?

    Crystal Lake

    Crystal Lake

    Oh.

    Oh dear.

Seriously, just another of those Hollywood overlapping real life things. You'd think someone would hip the owners to a name change though.

Mr. Rum, who can pull obscure movie references out of his backside at a moment's notice about most Hollywood people, didn't get the reference to Crystal Lake.

          Really Mr. Rum?

I, who don't like horror movies, knew about Crystal Lake.

          I'm just that good.

Oh yeah, and the name of the street you turn onto to get to the actual trailer park?

          Courage Lane

Wonder if any real-life Bates Motels had to change their names?

Then again, how many Elm Streets are there in the world?

I broke rule #1. Well done!!

My boss' friend lives in the last house on the left. He gets a kick out of mentioning this every time I mention horror movies. I just smile and nod.
Today was going to be just one of those days...you know, full of zombies.

Yay! You're the first person (as far as I know) who has broken Rule #1 while reading one of my posts! I'm just too awesome. (And very modest too, obviously).

Jason used to live there, but not anymore lol

Seriously though my mom had a good friend who lived in that trailer park, and her nephew lived with her and his name was Jason. He got a big kick out of it when he lived there.
