  • You know you don't like where it is going when..

    ... people start sentences with:

"Draggar I know you're on lunch but...."
"Draggar, I know you're on vacation but..."
"I sent you an email and got your out of office reply saying that you're on vacation but..."
"Draggar, I know you're trying to go home but..."
"Draggar, I know you are home but..."
"Draggar, I know you're busy but..."
"Draggar, I know you're not supposed to do this but..."

    Feel free to add.

"I'm going to need you to..."

Usually said by my boss, whenever he wants me to do something that...

        1. Is impossible
        2. I've tried already, and doesn't work
        3. Will take much longer than a half-hour, and it's already about 10 to 5.
        4. Is a job that sucks ass.

At least with #3, he actually backed off once. As soon as he said it, I actually said, "are you fucking kidding me?"

Here's a quote from Robert A. Heinlein, which is based off something different but should work equally well...

The correct way to punctuate a sentence that starts: "Of
course it is none of my business but --" is to place a period after the word
"but." Don't use excessive force in supplying such moron with a period.

            about.
