  • How very peculiar

Two nights ago, I kept waking up thinking "St. George's Battle" and "It wasn't a battle it was a massacre". I was getting annoyed at being woken up so much by these weird thoughts.

When I got up yesterday morning I didn't think it meant anything, since I have never heard of a St. George's Battle or Massacre but just out of curiosity I typed it into Google and nearly fell off my chair! My expression was like this

It turns out that there was a St. George's Battle and Massacre. I'm still trying to get over the shock of it all. I have wondered why these things came to me, since like I said before I had never heard of the battle!

    Strange doings I tell ya!

Past life memories perhaps? If you were dreaming about the battle, do you remember any details?

A quick Google-search turned up 2 St. George's battles and 1 massacre. Possible that you did see the term some where but it was only stored in your subconcious.

Or you're having memories surface from a past life.

      Either's possible.

Well, whatever the cause, I found it hilarious that you were arguing with yourself about it. Intelligent people think weird things.

Yes, Food Lady, it was weird how I kept arguing with myself, not something I have done before least of all while I was trying to sleep.

My husband agrees with those of you that said a past life. He thinks it was trying to come through, even though I don't remember dreaming at all that night, just waking up most of the night with the argument going on.

                Do you sleep with the history channel on? I am very easy to manipulate when sleeping. If I leave the tv or in one case fall asleep playing command and conquer I will get some very interesting dreams.;

It could also be that you actually have seen, heard, read something long ago and your concious memory doesn't remember it. In the meantime your sub-concious mind is sorting through things going, "Hey! I need to file this somewhere!"

Everything you ever see, hear, read, smell, yadda-yadda is recorded in your brain. Just because you do not actively remember it does not mean it's not there.

Kullervo, I do watch the History Channel on occasion, but I wasn't watching it that night. Plus, I"m married to a man who is a history buff, but he hadn't heard of the St. George Battle either.

NightAngel, it is possible that I might have come across it before and just don't remember. I did chuckle at the thought of my sub-conscious wondering where to put that file.

                      That is too funny!

                      I vote for past life.

Though I did the same thing when Tupac Shakur the rapper got killed. I dreamt that Tupac died and I woke up the next morning to the news saying he was shot.

Thought i was psychic til it was pointed out that I slept with the TV on...
