  • Help identifying houseplant

I'm hoping some of the gardening people can help me identify this houseplant. The original cultivar came from my mother-in-law, but I've also seen them in Central America. They propagate very easily and grow fast, so I usually start a few extra in spring and give them away as presents in the fall. Propagation is by merely cutting off a branch tip and sticking it in moist potting soil. They were being used as landscaping where I saw them in the tropics. Gardeners were just sticking cuttings right into the flower beds.

I thought that they might be Zamioculcas, but Zamioculcas flowers from the base of the plant with an inflorescence, wheras these flower on the tips of the leaves. Also, Zamioculcas forms potato-like tubers, but my plant does not.

I have no idea what they are, but if you are looking to give some away, feel free to send one my way! It's a beautiful (looks big) plant.
