  • Rethinking My Wardrobe

I never realized before how much I must like things that tie. I have pants that tie- pants with ties at the top, bottom and in between, shirts that tie, shorts that tie, jackets that tie, boots that tie.

Most of my wardrobe has ties- apparently, I love ties!

Now, you may be wondering why this is in the forefront of my brain right now? Obviously, this has never been an issue before- so, why now?

Well, I'll tell you... I was never a cat owner before. See, dogs generally don't give a damn what you're wearing or if you wear anything at all.

Now, where a dog looks at your outfit and thinks, "oh! it's you! rub my tummy!" a cat looks at your outfit and thinks, "hmmm... there is something dangly- ATTACK!"

So, right now I have wounds on the upper inside of my thigh on the softest most sensitive skin area there. The cat was trying to kill the dangly tie off on the bottom of my shirt. It's pretty painful to have a cat sink in it's claws and hang there- believe me. Also, somehow I would up with my palm sliced open as well.

She apologized later and asked me to please not take her to the pound as I had threatened while I was nursing my bleeding wounds. Thank heaven for Neosporin.

So, now I need to rethink my wardrobe... perhaps I should move on to a buttons or snaps era of my life?

Yep, I think that sums it up pretty well.

When we met with our cat's former foster mother to see if we anted to adopt her, she attacked a tie on my husband's cargo pants, then tried to creep up them (they had wide legs). That pretty much clinched it. She came home with us!
