My younger sister is in the hospital.
Sunday evening, she was riding with a friend in the friends van and they rolled it, several times, ejecting both of them in the process.
By the time emergency crews arrived on the scene, Sis was not breathing and her heart was not beating. They resuscitated her and air-lifted her to the hospital. Her heart stopped and was restarted again while in the air.
She is currently in the ICU in Lincoln, NE with a broken neck, most of her ribs broken, a lacerated liver and internal bleeding that she is too weak for them to operate and fix. She is barely breathing on her own, her brain is bruised and they have put a shunt into her head to keep a measurement on the pressure inside her skull.
My older sister and I was on the road from Denver within an hour and made it to the hospital by 4:am (Denver time). We plan to be here until tomorrow night unless something happens during the day tomorrow. Until then, we're taking things hour by hour.
After loosing my Father just a few months ago, I may be loosing a sister now.
Prayers and energy would be very welcome.
