I know I don't post in here as much as I used to, but I'm an avid gamer. Lately especially I've made a habit of buying one or many XBLA games a month, for example, although I may have to suspend that until the end of the year, but only because there are so many games I intend on buying brand spanking new that are coming up as well as things I need to catch up on (Brutal Legend, Assassin's Creed 2, Persona PSP, Persona 3 PSP even though I own both P3 and P3FES, etc.).
In any case, normally I love talking to other gamers about games, gaming, game development, etc. A few months ago, there was a situation where I had to feed a few younger gamers a line of BS so I could GTFO of a store as quickly as possible because my wife and kids weren't impatiently waiting in the car. And just a week ago, we order pizza and the following situation occurs...
Pizza Guy: "Okay, the total is $xx.xx."
Me: "Alright, here you go."
PG: *notices the free ODST premium theme background* "Ooh, ODST, huh?"
Me: *was actually getting ready to play BlazBlue* "Err, yeah."
PG: "Yeah, I'm not much of a Halo fan, but I hear it's supposed to be good."
Me: *hey, me too, but it's pizza time, soooo* "Uh huh."
PG: "Yeah, like, see, I like games like...well, you know, like F.E.A.R. and stuff."
Me: *I concur...but it's pizza time, soooo* "Yeah, that's a good one."
This conversation goes on for five minutes, each time I'm ready to just slam the door in his face. I mean, I get it...he's a gamer too...but DAMMIT I'M HUNGRY and no, you're not invited. I just always think it's weird because I empathize, but come on.
