How Nurian sets himself up (or Bork! Bork! Bork!)

Tonight, I'm cooking for some friends. As is usual for me, I have to make things difficult, and I decide chicken tacos aren't enough. So I planned a small 3 course menu.

Taquitos w/ Creamy Avacado-Lime sauce
Soft Chicken Tacos a la Nurian
Rice vanilla pudding with shaved dark chocolate.

Sadly, I borked my taquitos. My problem is I used corn tortillas wound too tightly. I'll still serve them (I like the sauce. It's an original), but they're not what I intended. Tacos came out fine and the pudding is cooking.

Times like this when I'm forcibly reminded I'm still pretty new (relatively) to the cooking game. But I can't help it. I love cooking.

I've got an experiment in the oven as we speak, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it comes out right.

The pudding sounds tasty...I want sugar...

All in all, not too bad. My pudding was a little runny, but some flour helped. The tacos were the hit (they always are). My taquitos, well, not so much.

Still, I'm proud of what I've cooked. It's good to know I have a knack for something other than gaming.
