  • October

I just stepped outside.....and the wind was blowing thru the trees, making that wonderful sound...the air is crisp, yet not too cold yet, and smelled so fall like and clean.

I almost teared up up, I so love October, and want to go haunt the places I used to when I was in school.

Instead, I grinned, headed back in, and am getting ready to dye my hair and paint my nails black.

Hippie, 11 month outta the year. October...all Halloween

Fall has always been my favorite time of year. Because it's nippy in the morning and night - you get to snuggle/cuddle and be wrapped up in a warm spot. And after you get up, and it's sunny outside, you can gradually adjust to the heat and pull your layers off and enjoy the sunshine.
I always like fall also, because you get to harvest berries and go tromp thru forests and look for other berries..
The trees are so colorful and pretty. The crisp air keeps you awake and wanting to move. The sunshine heats your back as you move along and feels good.

I used to go fishing every weekend w/ my parents (it was REQUIRED) and fall was always the best part of the year. You got some OK sized fish, but you had stuff to do out in the woods.

      I like October...it's my birthday

I'm actually colder in my apartment for some reason, even though it's 64 outside and I was fine in a sweatshirt and jeans. Now I'm in my living room, in the same sweatshirt and jeans, debating turning on the heat...

Now that my leg is better I cannot wait to hike in the fall

I also adore Halloween.....if I ever get married, I kinda want it to be Halloween (the one thing keeping me from doing so is if the marriage ended..I don't want Halloween to be thus tainted)

Today's LOW was 82 degrees. It's there now but the humidity is over 80%.

I miss the fall up north - even in the summer the mornings seem cool to me now.

I love crisp mornings - great to go out and go for a long walk or boke ride. This was the time of year I used to LOVE throwing my mountain bike in the car- park at the Hampton Casino and bike up to Odeon and back.

Even in the dead of winter I loved to go to the beach - and that one arcase that was open all year just north of the Seashell.

Now that I'm no longer in school, I like fall a lot more.

Unfortunately, at work October is when things start to get car-razy.

October is my 2nd favorite month of the year. Something about October just makes me all warm & fuzzy inside.

I got home last night and the apartment was colder than outside!

But, so was the store (we only have space heaters, so the wine doesn't overheat), so I wasn't too surprised

And Cat, I'm getting ready to re-dye my hair too, though I'm going purple again. The colour I put in during Dragon*Con has almost entirely faded. I could probably stand to go get the streaks touched up professionally, but I don't have the extra $60 right now. That will probably happen at the end of the month, right before Halloween itself.

I've pulled out all my autumn goth clothes, but I think I might need some more long-sleeved shirts - It's a lot colder than I expected. Guess it's time for a run to the thrift store.

Any ideas for a Halloween costume? I'm at a loss for this year, and we're planning to hit Fright Night at Six Flags Great Adventure, since it's a Saturday.

(Oh, and Cat, I agree. I want to get married on Halloween. Not sure what Other Half thinks, yet, but we haven't started officially planning.)

Just dyed my hair black.....may ave to reapply in the back.....it looks brown, but I have bad lighting. I originally bought blue-black.....but that might have been a tad too extreme for an office environment.

I miss having purple hair A few ideas for costumes....maybe Zelda, maybe some sortof steampunk costume, maybe something more gothic

I miss my Tennessee fall! This is just not the same down here -- it's still hot! I've been warned that I may very well be wearing short sleeves into December.

I'm telling the Hubby that the next time boss wants to open a new company, he needs to send us back to TN. I miss it. Fall was my favorite season on the mountain.

That being said, I am excited about Halloween. Getting my costume together already and I'm gonna have to dye my hair black.

The costume? Abby, from NCIS. Hubby's going as McGee.
