  • Bounce Dryer Bar

I know this is silly but has anyone here tried the Bounce dryer bar? I've seen a few customers check out with one but none of them know if it works well or not. Guess it could be because it's only been out a short time. I just want to try something new due to HATING dryer sheets(hubby buys the real cheap stuff. yuck!) and hubby hates when I use liquid softener.

I want to try it too--our dryer is cranky, and always traps the dryer sheet in the lint trap so early that it doesn't have time to work. Tired of clingy clothes!

I've been meaning to ask if anyone's ever tried these dryer balls.

Or the lint trapping balls for the washing machine.

I would love to not have to buy dryer sheets. And my parents' washing machine drains into a sink and we have to be careful to change the filter on the hose (which is a stocking foot held on with a flexible metal clamp thingy) to keep it from clogging the drain. Anything to minimize the lint!

A half cup of white viniger in the rinse and then a couple of clean tennis balls in the dryer. No more need for softner.

And here I thought I was the only one who used vinegar during the rinse. o.o

Haven't tried the bar yet, although it sounds like a nifty idea. Would most likely save on drier sheets.
Eh, one day I'll have something useful here. Until then, have a cookie or two.

The previous tenant stuck on in the dryer and I HATE IT!

I am allergic to a lot of perfumes/fragrances and the smell makes me feel ill so I use white vinegar and dryer balls to soften my laundry.
I put up with it for a week before I flat out asked the landlord if I could just take it out.

We use one, and we love it! It doesn't last as long as they say, but that's most likely because we do at least 1-2 loads of laundry a day (tiny washing machine and dryer). But it saves me having to remember to put dryer sheets in, and also I don't have to be continually picking dryer sheets out of our clothes.

Are you talking about the kind that you just stick in the dryer and they are supposed to last a few months?

My parents really like it, but they don't foresee it lasting as long as it claims to, just considering how much laundry they do.

I have a feeling that it would probably last as long as it claims if you live alone or only do laundry once or twice a week.

There is nothing worse than getting to work, then discovering there is a dryer sheet in your undies, sock, trousers, etc... Those buggers itch like a ****!

Eh, I just use liquid softener...never cared for dryer sheets.

And vinegar just....smells. Sorry, couldn't do it.

I use the dryer bar. I find it works great.
The only issue I had was the first time I used it, the glue let go and it came off with the clothes, but I stuck it back on and it's been fine since.

Cool beans. Thanks all. I guess I will give it a shot. I don't really care about it not lasting long. Just sick of seeing tons of dryer sheets all over the house and dryer sheets that don't leave that clean smell. Yeah, I'm girly like that.

My wife insists that those are the best thing ever (we still use dryer sheets, though). I never noticed a difference with or without the dryer balls.

I actually was part of a test-market group for this thing last year, here in the land of Procter and Gamble.

I really liked it. Plus I got paid 75.00 for sticking it in my dryer, doing laundry for 3 weeks, then filling out a questionaire.
